Manna Community CIC is passionate about investing in future generations. We see Generation-Y as a strategic group in developing the physical, intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of future communities.
Generation-Y (also known as the Millennial Generation) are the demographic group that followed Generation X. There are no precise dates when the generation starts and ends, but most researchers use birth years ranging from around the early 1980s to the early 2000s.
Researchers and commentators report that each generation has common characteristics that give that generation a specific character or flavour. In the case of Millennials, they are extremely civic-minded with a strong sense of local and global community. They are sceptical of, and detached from institutions, but they are highly networked with friends and colleagues. This generation is more open-minded than their parents on controversial topics, and their use of technology is far higher than that of other generations.
Manna Community CIC is committed to facilitate a range of work within the Generation-Y community. If we are to see our world become a better place, we believe that this is a generation that needs the support of generations that have gone before.
